We were approached by Anglian Water to help design and manufacture two containerized pipe test rigs to evaluate their water service pipes.

One system was based on conventional phosphate dosing and one chemical free.  In order ro replicate the real life working conditions to be analysed under laboratory conditions we had to engineer the system to replicate the pipe size and flow conditions as close as possible.

3D Models were initially produced to ensuer the correct fir of the piping loops, including flow characteristics.  Working with a specialist plastics company we designed the test coupons to the correct fit and surface finish.

The test rigs are now out in the field.
